Week 2 - We are back at the Watts Oasis!!
VBL returns to Watts Oasis Basketball CourtEvent on June 9th including VBL season play and KVBL kids clinicJune 7, 2019, Los Angeles, CA - Veniceball is pleased to announce its return to the Watts Oasis, an art-infused basketball court and community garden in Watts, CA. The organization will host an all-day event on June 9th, sponsored by Puma Hoops and the Watts Neighborhood Council, featuring celebrity appearances from rapper Yung Taco and NBA legend Metta World Peace.Community events will include a Venice Basketball League (VBL) season play,, KVBL youth basketball clinic, and a series of pick up games with the community. The KVBL youth clinic will be hosted by And1 Mixtape Legend “SikWitIt” so bring your ankle braces. Outside of basketball, this Sunday will be a family-catered event with a “Bounce House” for the kids. The VBL will have its second week of season play looking to match and top last weekend’s electricity. With even more talent showing up this time around in Watts, there should be an overwhelming amount of dunks and the newly added “ISO” card, where a player has the opportunity to call out his/her defender 1v1 to battle for a bucket. The league play will consist of 5 exhibition games every hour starting at 12pm. The Watts Oasis x KVBL event will kick off at 10am Sunday, June 9th at 1715 Santa Ana Blvd N, Los Angeles, CA 90002.
