Veniceballs Desert Tour

Written by Farnold DegandRiding high off of a what has been a transcendent spring season Veniceball, the creative agency behind the Venice Basketball league, took themselves down the Old Town Road, the desert terrain, to hoop until they couldn’t anymore. During opening weekend of Coachella the basketball collective embarked on a whirlwind innovative journey dubbed the “Desert Tour”.It kicked off with a quick warmup dunk session in the backyard of Veniceball’s Joshua Tree residence. It was also an unveiling of the fire gear designed specifically for the trip. The crew quickly made itself at home the only way they know how…with a plethora of dunks. The night segued into the afternoon of the next day as Veniceball pulled up to the beautiful Zanyara Estate for the Adidas sports retreat. Led by Guy DePuy and Michael Purdie, the worlds best dunkers, the Veniceball crew put on a show to remember as Guy shut it down with his patented Eastbay dunk, which was assisted by Nick Young., and Michael hurdled over Candice Parker for the dunk. The star laden event also featured appearances from Super Bowl Champion Von Miller, NBA star Trae Young, WNBA champion Candice Parker, NBA Champion Nick “Swaggy P” Young, TV Personality/Author Eddie Huang, and Rapper A$AP Ferg all of which participated in the littest 3 point contest I’ve ever seen. The day intertwined beautifully as Coachella’s bright yet subtle tones radiated throughout the luxury mansion. On the trail back, the squad stopped by White Iverson’s neck of the desert as Veniceball got an impromptu basketball scrimmage in while in his hometown. A real full circle moment for White Iverson who has been affiliated with the basketball collective for years. The “Desert Tour’” was just dripping with hoops and swag. There actually was a tennis court and soccer field that no one seemed to notice until they were exiting. This could only mean that Veniceball and Adidas turned the “Desert Tour” into the “Desert Storm” with the drip.
