VENICEBALL PRESENTS THE ULTIMATE SUMMER STREETBALL EXTRAVAGANZA: RON BEALS DAY aka LEGENDS DAY
A Celebration of Legends with a Star-Studded Lineup at Venice Beach
LOS ANGELES, California — Veniceball, the driving force behind the renowned VeniceBasketball League (VBL) and Puma Hoops, is thrilled to announce its annual end-of-season championship celebration: Ron Beals Day, taking place on Sunday, August 18th. This year’s event marks the culmination of the 19th season and will light up the iconic Venice Beach Main Basketball Court (1700 Ocean Front Walk) from 9 AM to 9 PM.
This unforgettable day of basketball and entertainment will kick off with a youth clinic and all-star game, headlined by NBA champion Danny Green. Fans can also look forward to a high-energy celebrity game, featuring NBA veterans like Metta World Peace, Brandon Jennings, Baron Davis and Marko Jaric, alongside streetball legends Sik Wit It, The HeziGod, Chris Staples, and Bone Collector. Joining them are skater Paul Rodriguez, social media sensations Mr. Hotspot, Max is Nice, Kenny Chao, and D'vontay Friga, among others.
The entertainment doesn’t stop on the court. Headlining musical performances include Inglewood’s own D Smoke, Compton’s Compton AV and The Compton Divas, Toni Romiti, and Venice’s House of Vibes, plus a surprise appearance by some West Coast legends.
The day is packed with excitement, including a range of free activities, a VIP rooftop party, the King and Queen of the Court 2v2 tournament, the fan-favorite VBL Dunk Contest, and the VBL and VWL championship game. Attendees will also get a chance to explore the original Hoopbus,which will be on-site as a mobile museum showcasing over 100 NBA and WNBA signatures.
Veniceball founder Nick Ansom shared his excitement about the event, stating: “Ron Beals Dayis my favorite day of the year. It’s when we bring together the best of the best from around theworld to honor the legends of the past, recognize the legends of today, and introduce the legendsof tomorrow. It’s a day of celebration and community, where we shut the summer down with anunforgettable experience.”
