In Loving Memory of Kobe

“It’s the one thing you can control. You are responsible for how people remember you—or don’t. So don’t take it lightly.”

Kobe Bryant on Legacy

Dear Veniceball family,

today marks our second year in the world without Kobe. Although the world the Mamba left behind has changed significantly since his passing, millions around the world unite today, on January 26th, in a mass celebration and memorial for the life, legacy and symbolism of one of basketball’s most transcendent figures.

Personally, to me, Kobe and the Mamba Mentality embodies the hoop dream, the belief that through hard work and dedication, anything can be achieved. An attribute that Kobe demonstrated time and time again both on and off the court during his illustrious career. As we all come together in remembrance of 24, we’d like to share a video of one of our most meaningful court restorations, shot in Naples the week of Kobe’s passing, this memorial showcases one more example of just how important the Mamba is to our world.

Rest In Peace Kobe

“May you always remember to enjoy the road, especially when it’s a hard one.”
