VENICEBALL x PIGALLE NBA Allstar Collaboration

FEB 2018—LOS ANGELES, CA—In celebration of the NBA’s All-Star game returning to Los Angeles next weekend, Veniceball, in partnership with Pigalle Basketball and Project Backboard is set to host a four-day hoops experience in Venice dubbed ‘Show LA Love’.

The experience will kick off a two-week concept store at General Admission (52 Brooks Ave, Venice, CA 90291) featuring over 20 of the most reputable brands in basketball culture (**brands listed below). An opening reception for the pop up shop will take place on Thursday, February 14th from 5-10pm and coincides with the release of an exclusive collection by world renowned Pigalle, the basketball fashion brand headquartered in Paris. The reception will be highlighted by a Q+A between fellow Parisians Stephane Ashpool (Pigalle, Designer) and Nick Ansom (Veniceball, CEO).

Centered in Venice Beach, the aim is to create an experience that everyone in LA can participate in, and promote connection through a love for the game of basketball.

Events included in the weekend programming are:

  •      General Admission will be the site of the Veniceball x Pigalle 6 piece Capsule Collaboration launch party Thursday the 15th. The entire store will be outfitted with street ware inspired by the game of basketball. Brands from all over the word be represented in one of the hottest retail spaces on the westside. Participants include but not limited to Aces Apparel, Bodega, Hall a Fame, Mitchell & Ness, New York Sunshine, Rokit, Silky Socks, Quai 54, Filayyyy, Season Creates, and Kickstradomis with art from Asphalt Chronicles, Literally Ballin, and Sideline Jones. This event will also double as a fundraiser to rebuild courts in Puerto Rico with Project Backboard. Entry is a $10 donation (unless you can hit a jump shot), witch includes an open bar with complimentary food for the love. 
  •      a youth basketball clinic with Evolve, hosted by Streetball legends BDot, Pat the Rock, H2O, Jesse  “Filayyyy” Jones, Bree Green, and Metta World Peace
  •      a viewing party of the NBA All-Star Game at General Admission (food and alcohol provided)

 

Proceeds from the weekend will go towards the Build Courts Not Walls program renovating basketball courts in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and abroad.
