Panda’s Friend Escapes in an overtime thriller vs. I’m Just Different 46-45.
The 2nd game of the day featured a physical contest with both teams battling for every loose
ball and every point was hard earned. Paul “PeeDee” Davis led the way for the Pandas with 14 points.
Corey Hall and Ace Watkins supported with 9 points each. 2 players were in double figures for
I’m Just Different. Moses aka “Young Mouth” scored 13 points and Matt Washington with 14.
Hall of Fame Pulls Away from the United Nations 57-48.
In the 3rd game of the day, an exciting up-tempo contest between 2 teams with offensive
talent was showcased. Both teams kept each other close until Hall of Fame led by A.J “Chosen One” Harris
pulled away late to finish off the United nations. Harris scored 20 points with 5 rebounds, 5
steals and 4 assists. Jarrell Tate chipped in with 12 points and 4 assists and Rob Summers scored
11. For the United Nations, Nick Ansom had an all-around game with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 2
steals and 5 assists. Ian Francis scored 10 points and Daiki from Japan also contributed with his outside
shooting with 9 points.
They made their point loud and clear with no shots going inside. Keith Closs was the main
reason the King’s Academy had to settle with jumpshots the entire game. “The Boss” Closs
opportunity. Mike Jones had a great perimeter game with 3 three pointers made and mixing it up
with transition finishes and drives to the rim. He contributed with 18 points. “Beast” Williams
also was part of the power attack with 12 points and 9 rebounds. It was not a great day for
King’s Academy as jumpers did not fall. One bright spot for them was Spenser Shuite with 10
points. Future Legends is now 2-0 while the King’s Academy is 0-2.
